Hey Guys -

When I brake, the front end pulls to the left fairly sharply. Any ideas?

Lefr brake grab, could be front or rear.
Right brake (front or rear) not porperly applying.

To elaborate on what BC posted, it could be that the left brake could be adjusted too tight or possibly have a hose going sour, alternatively, the right side could be adjusted too loose, or perhaps have a hydraualic issue like a stuck wheel cylinder. Most likely, if it is in the brakes, it's an adjustment issue.
Another problem that could be a possability would be worn suspension/steering components. Check the control arm bushings (upper and lower, especially the rearward ones) and the tie rods on the left side. If worn, any of those could cause a torque reaction on braking, causing a pull, usually accompanied with an audible "clunk" noise.

Wheel cylinder leaking onthe drum will do it too. If it pulls only when braking, then prolly brakes.

Adjustment does not cause pulls. sticky hardware, collapsed hydraulic hoses, or fluid or grease-contaminated linings do. Incorrect adjustment just causes a low pedal, because NO brake action is going to occur at any wheel until all the brake shoes are in contact with the drums. It's impossible to develop brake pressure at one wheel if another set of shoes is still capable of moving, unless somebody has repealed the laws of physics.

A right side wheel cylinder is probably leaking & oiling the shoes. Especially if you replaced the shoes without replacing/rebuilding the wheel cylinders. Pull the right wheels & drums off and look for the nasty oily one.

My 66 k10 was pulling left. I pulled the front drums and found someone put both short shoes on one side and long shoes on the other. Swapped shoes replace cylinders and still had a pull. I replace rubber brakes hoses and it stopped the pull.
