on my 1950 3100 truck the front drum brakes have been changed to disc brakes, i dont know what the doner vehicle was probably the same one the v8 and rear end came out of, i have been told the engine is a 1973 350ci. the wheels have also been changed to a 16" alloy. i prefer the old steel wheels and want to replace the alloys with the origonal type.
does anyone know if my truck might have come with 15 or 16 inch wheels and what size radials would i need? will they also clear the caliper?
thanks
bill.

My '50 3100 has 16" rims. I think I've read here that they aren't deep enough for disc brake applications. However, I have also read here of people grinding a little off the caliper for clearance. This has been discussed many tmes on Stovebolt. Do a search for info.
