For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 90 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 90 | I have a '54 3600 with a 235 engine that was running. Began having some starting issues (rough start, wouldn't start) about 3 years. I got really busy with work/life, etc and had to let truck sit. Went and tried to start today, but same issue as when I left it.
Truck tries to turn over, but nothing. Put some gas in carb (per a friend) and still nothing. I am not a mechanic so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks and Peace.

Might want to start with fresh gas.
Then put in new points, plugs, condenser. Give it a tune up, make sure the timing is right. Make sure you have a spark. If you don't know how to do these things, find someone who does. Maybe there is a fellow stovebolter nearby.
You will get it going.
