| | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | welcome to the garage Wayne - those numbers don't compute, neither appears factory, likely a CA DMV thing that may have happened decades ago when the engine was changed as the engine number would originally have been used for the title VIN .... a picture of the engine would get an ID from some of the gurus here, it would originally have been a 216, but may have been swapped for a 235, neither of which had oil filters

I do not know off the top of my head which one a 41 used, but they are not that scarce. Here's an ebay example In checking I see 1941-42 used a mod #483 Part #839500 If you are not going for judging there are a number of models that will work.
