Been gathering parts from 3 different trucks & finally coming to the end of a frame off on my 51. I have 3 sets of glovebox hinges to fit 47 to 53, not sure if 54 hinges are the same? You would have to check this out. Anyhow if you don't succeed in finding something soon I would be happy to mail you the extra set I have that came from a 53 cab. Just cover the postage.

54 hinges are completely different from the 47-53 since the glove box door is different. I can take a picture of mine and post it tomarrow if that will help. I'm trying to get pictures of my build as I go along anyway.

I took some pics of my glovebox hinge. I had to go by the local hardware supply today and saw some 2 1/2 inch continuous hinge material that would work. It had no holes and had 1/2 wide hinge spacing. If you could find the right size torsion spring you could even cut out a section and insert it.

My hinge was 11 1/8 long with the side that mounts to the dash 1 1/4 wide to the hinge pin and the part that mounts to the door 9/16 wide. Note that the holes on the dash side are slotted left to right and the holes on the door side slotted up and down to allow for door adjustment. The torsion springs just assist the door in opening.

I uploaded to photobucket but I am having trouble with their site right now and will add a link later.

Hope this helps Rick
