Does this axle have the nut on the end? My 29 and 30 ,have them .
If so you need to remove the cotter key and nut, then remove the brake drum ,ussually with a puller, then unbolt the axle bearing, then pull the axle.

i've removed drum and the outer seal and bearing retainer, according to shop manual you just pull axle, don't know if there is a pin in diff. that needs to come out first or not. sometimes these trucks can be so simple to work on it's confusing, gonna try and rig an axle puller.

I do hope you open up the differential and see if you have a pin or clip before you use an axle puller.

i looked ,i don't see any pins or clips, i was hopeing someone that had already done this would chime in before i go to far, don't know if the bearings need to come out in order to replace inner seal,if so that's another question on the best way to remove them.
