I liked the old vinyl but over time it's worn and the bench never did offer much in the way of support so I found a local shop and left the bench to be rebuilt and redone in a vinyl/cloth combo. Looks great, ride is MUCH nicer with new foam and rebuild of the springs. Asked them to add two pockets in the front and had them cover the back of the bench to hide the springs. All this in three days for $250.00. A great deal I think. Just thought I would share to let folks know it's worth looking for a fair priced shop if you need a bench redone. www.photobucket.com www.photobucket.com

He installed all new burlap, cotton and foam. I sandblasted it and painted the frame/springs first...it looks brand new front and back. I think $1100 is out of line...you can by brand new 40-20-40 low back seats from van and truck for about $850. Well I imagine you could take out your bench, ship it out to my guy for a redo and cover shipping home for less then half that much. I would keep hunting a bit and see if anyone local will shoot straight and gve you a quote more in line.
