The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop missing lower front fender mount '56 3100

i have reached the point where i am mounting the front fenders on my truck. it turns out that my replacement cab has no place to bolt up the lower fender just ahead of the doors. my old cab (long since sold off) had a bracket in this area. see circled area:

My new cab is missing this bracket as you can see in the picture:

it looks like from a visual inspection and the assembly manual that this is a welded bracket. Not sure why it is missing from my cab. is it supposed to be present on all cabs? Maybe my cab was once a bigbolt?

i am sure i can fab up something, but I would like to stay original. I am interested in ideas, source for replacement, and/or maybe someone has a pair of these?

Going by the number of responses your looking at making them. You need it as that mount is key in adjusting the fit of that panel. Let us know if you need dimensions or photo's to work with.

there is no evidence of this part ever attaching to my cab, which i find curious...
