I've seen a lot of '60-'66 fleetside trucks in the junkyards, but it's rare that I ever see the filler panel that goes between the rear bumper and the bed.
I found a truck with them today, and one side was mint, the other side was badly rotted.
I'm wondering how rare these filler panels are, and if there's a need for reproductions.

A number of the aftermarket parts suppliers offer them, as well, including LMC Truck at www.lmctruck.com

anyone have the following?

Pictures of them in posistion?
How to color/paint them?
Shop manual information of installation?

I would not mind adding them to the truck.......hell I've put just about everything else on it, why not these.

I may have pictures on what I think was an original truck.

Can also send pictures of them installed on my son's 66 GMC.

He painted them a trim color and they look good. Install is pretty simple when you order them you can figure it out.

The rock guards were painted the primary body color, both on single-tone and two-tone trucks.

I've got one good one if anyone wants it for $5 plus shipping.
Just needs to be bead blasted or hit with a wire wheel on a grinder... no rust-through.

If the repros are sold individually, it'll save you a few bucks.
