I now have a second 59 Apache 3100. This one came with a 350 crate engine. Looking for any info on it. The number on the block is ME 05353.
Thanks Larry

Made in Mexico. I have over 15,000 trouble free miles on the one in my '56.

This engine runs good, only getting about 25 psi oil pressure. Is their any way to tell what year it was made?

Yes.

Put a master gauge on it. The dash gauge may be incorrect.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Alot of mid 80's 350 engines were made in Mexico. I had an '86 Suburban with a "Hecho En Mexico" casting. It ran fine until about 90k miles and it swallowed a valve.

I have one and no problems. I was talking to a fellow that uses them in delivery trucks and he thinks they are great.
