He is going to a rebuilt 235 and asked if i needed his 216, said if i would help him do the engine swap he would let me have it for free. Could not pass it up as i have driven his truck numerous times and knew the engine was in alot better shape than mine. By the late 1940's, they were pretty much standardized. The 53 model 216's had a different cylinder head, IMHO. Where are you in Tennessee, and what do you plan to do with the worn-out engine? I'm near I-65 close to the Alabama state line.
