i got excited today after i Easy Off oven cleaned my engine today i found some numbers stamped on my block and head, i was hoping someone can send me in the correct direction in finding the proper id for them.
starting at the back of the block behind the starter it appears to be a- CF 19 4
then a- GM
8
Then 8764476
on the head the Starting from the front

From Inliners International I found the following info, casting number from cylinder block
8764476 no record, however there is a casting number 3764476, which is a 1958-62 235, please recheck your casting number
cylinder head casting number 3836848 is listed as being from a 1956 235, however it seems to be a consensus that this head was used on a lot of newer engines as well. Please remember to tell us what year and size of truck you're asking questions about in your posts, hope that helps.
