i am rewiring my 48 gmc...have question on directional switch...where do the black and blue wire coming out of switch hook to...i have a turn switch feed coming outof fuse box, and a turn switch hazard wire coming out of fuse box...do they hook to those wires...need help....

You need to supply more info. There are dozens of brands of directional switches and no standard wire colors. I wrote a tech tip that will help you decode which wire is which on your particular switch.

i bought it from LMC...6 volt...part #36-4900...i have a black and blue wire coming out of turn switch going to a circle that has a LXP inside circle coming off circle on left side of it is a power source...coming out of fuse box is a purple wire for the turn signal feed..and abrown wire coming out of fuse box is a brown wire turn switch hazard...

I bought my turn signal from obsolete chevy and directions and wiring diagrahm came inside the box. The letters inside the circle are the terminals on the turn signal flasher. There should be two different circles showing different wiring diagrahms depending on the type flasher you have.Just study the diagrahm and use wire nuts until you get it right. When it's right them crimp or solder . I had to build my harness from scratch one wire at a time.Take your time , you can do it.
