The original type leaf spring suspension worked pretty well for decades- - - -why convert to trailing arms and coil springs?

I drive a Kenworth with airbags on the rear ends, on the cab, and the seat. Methinks you're in uncharted territory, so be sure and document and photograph it a lot to share. I'll be interested to see how this turns out.
