Starting the install of my Deluxe Heater. Bought new control cables, there are three different lengths of cables, which cables go where?

temp control cable - longest. goes into the high end of the plenum and down to the ranco
air inlet cable - 2nd longest, behind the fan to the arm near the vent below the motor
defrost cable - shorty

you really can't put them on wrong, they all just reach

Thanks for the reply. Please excuse my ignorance on your terminology, but what is plenum and ranco? Is that the heater core shroud and thermal heater valve? By deduction, I am assuming so, but just want to make sure. Thanks

yes and yes, the plenum is the part of the case the warm air flows up to the defrost vents - the 'thermal heater valve' is called a Ranco valve, should you wind up needing to hunt one down

Thanks for the clarification. Do I need to lube the cables, or they fine as is?

I'd leave'em alone, shouldn't be a problem for decades wink
