The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Paint and Body Shop chrome bumper cleaning

I have a 1977 chevy stepside at the paint shop this week. They are doing a much better job than I thought, the truck will look great.
How do I get the original front Chrome bumper to shine up?? It had the bumper guards on it as original but i want them off, problem is nice shiny chrome where the used to be and dull oxidized chrome every where else. Any good polishing ideas or products out there?

Simichrome with a money-back guarantee is an excellent product. It has some exotic ingredients and aluminum oxide as an abrasive.

Actually some of the posts further down in that forum had some decent info I think.
However I was just being a wise a$$ and posted the first thing that popped up from a ggggoooogle search

I have used a product from Germany on the chrome of a 63 Avanti that really impressed me, but unfortunately it's in the glove-box of the car and its under 3 layers of plastic and two car covers all tied up to keep the wind from blowing them off
As I recall it still required additional elbow grease which I had to supply

So of course I had to next look at what you posted and I think the Simichrome might actually be the stuff I used (it's been over a year now) It really was good sh!t!
