The engine gasket kit comes with two sets of gaskets, one set is metal sided and the other is cardboard. Need to know which one is placed next to the engine block and does it matter which side the metal gasket is placed? Thanks. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 116 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 116 | My kit also came with 2 gaskets, one had larger holes than the other, only one fit head correctly 1955 Second Series GMC"Done - A 50 Year Journey"Follow in the DITY-- No one said it was going to be easy

I should have looked at both of them out of the box, but I assumed that the metal gaskets were the right one but the asbestos gaskets actaully fit properly......thanks! | | |
