ya I got pretty lucky considering i never even went to inspect it my lady grabbed it all in the dark. was a farm truck from day one 1 owner, old farmer is now in a old folks home and his son sold it to my fiance for $850.

frame is solid few rust spots on fender cab corners and pack rats got into the engine and ate up alot of wireing. and a family of wasp made a nest in the heater core. but for 800 dollars i about passed out!

ya the son of the old man started working on the inside so i didnt have to worry about patching up cab corners.. didnt really get much done this weekend other than pulling her up and under the barn to be torn down, father in-law hurt himself so i had to do most of the work on the farm sat-sun. Good side of all of this is i did find a little gem sitting on his farm that he never told me about.. looks to be a 65-66 short box bed that had been converted into a trailor. im going to post my cell number in the "for sale" section if anyone is interested in it as parts or a whole..

cheers!

Nice score. Good luck with the project. I suggest focusing on "Start/Steer/Stop", in the beginning, so you can enjoy the truck and get some use out of it, before blowing it apart, especially if it is your first project. The trip will be much more pleasant, if you can get some use out of it, while you are working on it.

That looks like a good start. I agree with Tony. Once you have made it safe to drive drive it for a bit before you tear it down you will love driving it and make a few memories doing so. It will provide you with that extra boost to get it done once you have it tore down and run into difficult issues. Good Luck and have fun cause that what old trucks are all about.
