Are those clutch head interior screws case hardened because I'm having a heck of a time drilling them out. I can't count the number of twist drills I've gone through. Thanks.

I really don't know but I can't imagine them being hardened more than any other screw. Make sure you are using good bits instead of HF specials. A lot of the cheap bits they sell are for soft metal or wood. Read the package.

I just drilled out a couple by using McMaster-Carr split-point bits. Worked well.
