Rebuilt carb and distributor, vac advance.
Fill gas tank, truck runs great through about 2-3 gallons then behaves as though it was out of gas.
Add 1-2 gallons and it starts up immediately.
Vapor lock? Fuel pump?

thanks. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 581 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 581 | Think he means the fuel pick-up in the bottom of the tank. Crud and sediment collect there, and can clog the fuel flow intermittently.
This sounds like a classic case of a blocked breather in the gas cap. Does the tank "ping" when you take the cap off just after it's bogged down? Will it run fine once you remove the cap?
May need to check your fuel flow at the carb.
