You might take a second look at that tag number.

Jon.

Good carburetion is fuelish hot air
The most expensive carburetor is the wrong one you attempt to modify.

Personally, if the vehicle is not yet road-worthy, I would continue to search for a suitable carb. smile

If the vehicle was completely finished, and this was the 3rd of July, and you really wanted to put the vehicle in the 4th of July parade, and a carburetor was all you needed.........I would rent a trailer! wink

Others' opinions may differ.

Jon.

Al, if you are just going to start the engine, and run for a few minutes at idle, go ahead.

But I would not suggest driving the vehicle with the carburetor.

Jon.

Take the top off of it & see if it,s clean inside & everything working right. You can get a kit for about $15 & freshen it up. It should run good enough to check it out & move it around.
