on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 139 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 139 | Hey all. Thinking of dropping the truck down a bit, 1-2".
Since I need to do something with the springs, I thought about ordering dropped ones from Eaton Detroit. Don't really like the idea of a mono leaf setup.
The other option is a dropped axle in front & blocks in the rear.
Any advise/suggestions/comments? Would there be any benefit or drawback from doing it one way vs the other? Thanks. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 1,519 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2001 Posts: 1,519 | | | | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 139 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 139 | Marty, Thanks for the link. If I go that way I'll definitely use Sid's axle.
I'm trying to figure out which way to lower the truck is best. I'm not sure how, or if, lowering springs will affect the ride/handling and if I'd be better off using a dropped axle and blocks. | | |
