Ok, I know this topic is touched on quite a bit, but I have not seen anything on this particular question. I have a 1950 Chevrolet 4100. It looks to be ALL original, including the seat cover, door panels. It looks like the original exterior color was windsor blue. My door panels and seat cover are a thick, grained, pleated, blue vinyl. The vinyl looks to have been a navy blue & has faded a bit over time. I know most restored trucks have a metallic bronze/ brown interior paint, but it does not look like this would have matched with a blue seat??

Does anyone have pics or know of an all original truck with a color other than brown?

Could it be a brown interior with blue seats? Could just the floor, dash, & kick panels be brown, and the doors, rear cab, seat frame, and headliner be blue?

Note: the pics in my gallery show the exterior, inner doors, and dash to be a dark royal blue - this is not original (and a crappy paint job by a PO at that).

There was no factory regular production option for the 1950 truck interior color. Supposedly, a special order for any kind of paint scheme was possible.

Oh, ok. After some further investigation, it looks that the back of the dash & higher up on the firewall are the metallic bronze color. But what seems crazy, is that the seat frame, windshield trim & rear cab are windsor blue. I am thinking maybe the dash and floor should be bronze ( as well as the speaker grill & glove box door detail) and the rest of the interior windsor blue? This seems like an odd combo?

That truck has obviously been repainted at some point. I'd bet that if you took the blue
layer off you would find the original interior colors underneath. The blue on the seat
frame is a different shade than the rest of the truck and the mast jacket is painted. Could
very well have belonged to a paint shop or a shop with a painter that kept up the fleet
trucks but it's been repainted. GM never used rolled and pleated upholstery in their trucks
as far as I’m aware of. What cha got there is a custom Jbob.
