For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 7 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 7 | So I inhereted this 1961 1/2 ton and man do I have a lot of learning to do so I can restore it. First I am trying to find out all the major components that is has since it has all been changed around. According to the VIN it i supposed to be a set side, which it obviously is not. It has a 350 ci motor out of I believe a 1973 Chevy and a Turbo 350 transmission. I know this is not the stock hood but can anyone tell me by looking at it what year hood this is. I noticed some of the hoods have rectangular blinkers but mine is slanted on the inside. Any ideas. Thanks. Click link for photo 1961 Hood Question

I never would have thought of it being a GMC but you are correct after viewing the galleries.
