So I inhereted this 1961 1/2 ton and man do I have a lot of learning to do so I can restore it. First I am trying to find out all the major components that is has since it has all been changed around. According to the VIN it i supposed to be a set side, which it obviously is not. It has a 350 ci motor out of I believe a 1973 Chevy and a Turbo 350 transmission. I know this is not the stock hood but can anyone tell me by looking at it what year hood this is. I noticed some of the hoods have rectangular blinkers but mine is slanted on the inside. Any ideas. Thanks. Click link for photo 1961 Hood Question

63 hood I think, or maybe GMC - grill doesn't look quite right either .... take a look thru the gallery, you'll find differences there .... and welcome to the garage, might not be original, but we don't mind, at least it's been preserved grin

Thanks all for your responses. I never would have thought of it being a GMC but you are correct after viewing the galleries. Thanks again.
