My local car club, Brazos River Cruisers, is co-sponsoring a car show in conjunction with the Spring Festival at Clark Gardens Botanical Park.

There are lots of activities besides the car show. They have a model train display that is spectacular. It runs from inside the building, where there are models of old downtown Mineral Wells and Weatherford, to outside, where there are models of other old towns in the area. It features tunnels, water falls, bridges made of sticks. This alone is worth the trip.

They will also have a Texas wine and cheese tasting tent.

Hopefully some of the hundreds of flowers will be in bloom.

The Fort Worth Model A Club and the Lincoln Club will be participating in the car show. I'd like to see a good Stovebolt turnout, too. Get the truck out and come join us.

I enjoyed poking around that Stovebolt graveyard of old trucks that were retired from service. That old iron went back a long ways. I hope to be at the show again this year.

I would like to go. Where is the closes camp sight? I like state parks. Me and My Bride have a pop up camper. Is that a Botanical Garden or a park?

Lake Mineral Wells State Park is probably 2 miles from the entrance to Clark Gardens by road. Even less by bicycle trail. Hope to see you there.

Clark Gardens is a Botanical park. No camping. Check their website link in the first post.
