The pedal linkage for the carburator was an arm attached to the linkage thru the firewall that faced down, and the motion was a push. The v8 needs the arm to extend upward with a pulling motion. I suspect that the stock v8 linkage for this model truck is what I am looking for. Where can I get the part ? Thanks in advance. | | |

The '62 has the lever down for the 6cyl., and I just assumed it would be up for the v8. The lever is hooked onto the pedal linkage thru the firewall that has a flat ground on it for the lever, so I can't move the lever around without drilling it out and then welding it up so I can grind a new flat on the lever. I could do that as a last resort, but I just wanted to same myself some grief and also preserve the origninality. | | |
