Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!

For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,388 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 1,388 | It's awesome. Yup, my bagged out 235, is now a sweet running, non smoking tower of power. Also, now that the rods are equipped with "bearings", it sure is quieter too. It's amazing how much more power the ol wagon has too, now that the explosions stay on top of the pistons!
Embarrassingly, I don't actually have any pictures of the job. But take my word for it, it's totally rad! | | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 320 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 320 | Good news Christopher. Nothing like a ring job to make an old truck feel young again. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 219 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 219 | I rebuilt my 235 back in 1975 when we took it apart most of the rings were missing or baked into the pistons. If i remember correctly only two of the pistons had all the rings left on them yet that old engine would start every time. I do remember how great it felt to have some real power under the peddle, enjoy Len
