the rubber sitting on the rims of my truck show 8x17.5 looking for a decent all terrain tire such as a bfg all terrain t/a. or some thing close to that as i will be driving on hwy and gravel roads with my truck when finished.

Thanks again for all your help

Have a look at Tirerack.com. They have pretty good pricing on all sorts of tires & wheels.

Just FYI, Tirerack is a good place to browse and compare, but go with your local tire shop or farm supply store. The price you see at Tire Rack, doesn't factor in shipping and secondly, you still have to pay someone to mount and balance it on the rim.

I've found a local shop that I buy my tires from that mounts & balances and the price is still cheaper than tirerack.com

If you're wanting modern radial tires, you're going to have to swap rims. They don't make the 17.5 tires in a modern radial. You'll probably either need to go with a 16, 17, or 18 inch wheel. I don't have a BFG catalog handy at the moment (it's at the shop), I do know that the All Terrain KO tends to come in wider sizes than what these old trucks came with originally.
