Was there a sill plate used on the 47-54 trucks other than the piece that holds the bottom weatherstrip? I see these on Classics web site and would like to know if they are aftermarket.

That is an interesting question.

The bottom weatherstrip is held to the door with a lower door seal retainer (47-55).

The cab windlace strip on the cab floor at the door opening is held to the floor with a windlace seal retainer (1947-49 is different from 1950-55).

Are you referring to Classic Parts of America's website? I select the year range to the left of the search box and then use various guesses of key words. It's the word that are tricky.

Classic Parts' and Chevs of the 40s' search engines seem to be the best at accommodating my feeble mind.

I'm a "list" kind of guy as in "old school catolog" So much faster and easier.
