For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 35 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 35 | So here's the question. I want to run my stock axle and front suspension on my 1 ton panel. I've searched the site and frankly the volume of results is overwhelming. Does anyone know of a part number or make/year/model power steering gear box that will bolt directly in place of the stock box? It would be great to know the correct pitman arm as well. I will be replacing the stock steering column with an ididit tilt column that will be installed at the same angle as stock. Thanks for any input you might have. Some fabricating and or store bought brackets are necessary. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 35 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2011 Posts: 35 | Yeah, thanks. I am well on my way. Bought a used saginaw box for $45 and a bracket/steering arm kit from CPP for $119. We shall see if the pitman arm works... | | |
