Im not to electronically literate to start. Today when I put my battery back in my truck it started up first crank and i started the truck on and off through out the day probably 10 times. Later in the night i started the truck it started up but sputtered and died, it started up one more time and did the same thing. I tried one more time and i got nothing the starter didnt even turn over or make a noise. all the lights and gauges still worked
Do i have a wire somewhere between the battery and starter that may have came loose and shorted the system out?

just as well you're not "electronically literate", cuz there's no electronics involved, just real basic electricity

you might start by checking the connections at the starter and the battery - the starter draws more current than anything else, so a low battery could be the problem, repeatedly starting the truck without running it enough to recharge the battery is bad practice, if you've got a battery charger, put it on overnight and see what the morning brings

Turn the lights on and push the starter. If the lights go off then you know there is a connection problem, probably at one of the battery connections.

Might check the ground strap from the frame to the engine/bellhousing too.
