Did trucks have power steering in 57? Does anyone have a picture of the pump mounts? I have what should be a 50's power steering actuater valve and hydrolic cylinder, but no pump.

With the best of regards,

The factory power steering option used a different generator that has a splined shaft coming out the back and a different rear plate. The pump mounts to this. Those generators do pop up at swap meets if you want to go that direction, or you might look for an early '60s car or truck that used the separate mounting and pump.
