Ok someone out there should be able to tell me this, what is the width of a dually normally. What is the width without the two extra wheels.

I need to get it past my house and that is pretty tight to fit back there, I have fit a full size in the back before but I am concerned about the duals.

I can't tell you specifically about any truck but teh legal width limit on city streets is 96 inches. Teh trucks I buy at work can't run the tire size I prefer because it puts it a quarter inch too wide to be legal.

Ok so dumb question even though I can guess the answer, that site does not list a 52 truck, but it has a 53 so I assume that they are the same, correct?

The '52 and '53 are probably the same width, but unless you know the truck is all original the width listed in the restoration pack may not reflect the width of your truck.

My copy of the restoration pack for a '55 1st (should be the same) actually gives only the width across the center of the outer tires, not the outside measure. Maybe others have a different version?

I have one dually that came to me with an 80's rear under it. I've not measured to see if its the original width or not. Also changing the wheels or tires could change the width.

What model truck is this? Is it a 3800?

A stock 3800 dually should be just under 80 inches measured across the rear tires. My '54 GMC 250 (basically the same thing as a 3800) is 79-3/4 inches across the stock wheels and what I believe are stock size tires.
