#82688 09/07/2007 3:18 PM | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 254 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 254 | i own a 64 Chevy 1/2ton 4x4 pickup i'm running a 350 gas right now and i'm thinkin a diesel would just be so cool to have and i probly cause i could get better then 10 mph out of a diesel i'm curious if it would be posible to bolt one in with the stuff that i'm currently running, (i know motor mounts would need to be changed) i'm running a SM465 trans NP205 t-case Dana 44 front axle, GM Corp 12 bolt rear axle 4in. of lift is there a diesel that i could bolt to that setup or one that would use a bell housing that will bolt to my trans other thing would be the weight issue is there a diesel thats light enough but still has enough snuff to pull a good sized gooseneck? or would i have to beef up the front end even with a small diesel?
