The are a combination rubber and steel plug. I have used them in just the same area as you are refering to. The challenge is getting the old one out. | | |

I got the old one out with much effort. I replaced the one near the front of the engine but the other is bit tougher to reach and get any leverage. I was hoping for a trick other than pulling the engine. Good to know their is a solution that you used. I will have to get one and save my knuckles. | | |
