For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 15 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 15 | All my numbers ie.Block/head match up to be a 248 that came in my '54 GMC 100 but, i have ordered 2 carbuator insulator plates and either the bolt holes dont match or the throat hole is the wrong size. In both cases the slots on the intake side are on the wrong side. Any suggestions? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 457 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 457 | Not familiar with the GMC, but I sold Victor, Fel-Pro and McCord gaskets for years...and all of them have a picture section in their catalogs (or computer sites) to match up what you have. Check NAPA or Carquest or whatever you have nearby. A good counterman will try to help! Good luck!
