I am not going to do much with it until the summer since graduate school takes all of my time and money. A friend of mine is letting me store it in his garage until I have time for it. It could easily be longer than the summer. We'll see what happens. Your truck looks to be in reasonable shape,so don't be disheartened by the rust,there's a few folks here started out with a lot worse!
The Stovebolt is a great place to gleen info and advice and there's a good number of Texans frequent this site.
How many are in the Dallas area i'm not sure but they are out there!
What the gang here don't know about these trucks ain't worth knowing anyway!

My friend and his car trailer helped me out. 300 mile round trip and she is mine. Manual steering with low tire pressure is much harder than I remember. It has been some years since I moved an old truck around. The brakes failed when we pushed it off of the trailer. Thank goodness my friends house was there to stop it. I have neither the money or time to work on it right now. I think it will end up being my graduation present to myself that I can actually start working on it. The truck will be still be there for you as and when you can afford to do the work.
There's a fair few of us here have taken quite a while to build our trucks(me included)the good thing is it gives you an excuse to visit the Stovebolt for that all important morale boost now and then.
