We bought a 1951 GMC 9300 this summer. From all the gallery posts I've seen, there are very few that are a 9300 series. I understand they are Canadian made, are they fewer in numbers than the others? Just looking for a little more info from the Bolters.

There don't seem to be many GMC's running around here at all! However, now that I've said that, I expect that several owners will chirp up! I know my Panel is a 9300 series, being a half ton and all. I can think of at least two other local trucks that are 9300 half tons too. There do seem to be many more chevs around though.

Yes the 9300's are Oshawa borne. I have a 1952 9430 1 ton which I have just started tearing down this fall. There is lots of good information on here all you have to do is dig....You can also contact GM Canada to get the report on your production date, I think it cost about $40. Not a great deal of info in it as they didn't keep really thorough records back then. There is a link on here to the GM historical records if I can find it I will add it.

I to just as recent as last week bought a 1951 GMC 9300. I to are doing some searching for information on these trucks. I do have all the numbers and working threw all the forums on this great site. I wish you luck.

You can also get a reprint of the The 1948-51 Chevrolet, GMC trucks Maintenance Manual that covers Cdn built trucks. I bought mine on EBay.

I have a 1955 GMC 9434 1 ton truck, there were only 465 made and mine was 208th off the line. I am trying to rebuild it to its original condition. It has a 235 chev engine in it that matches the tag and a 4 speed transmission.
