I have 65 chevy shortbox fleetside and I installed muncie m-20 4 spd in it,,does anybody know what speedo cable will work with this set up?original speedo in dash, saw one on ebay it said,(5/8 18 thread on instrument side and 7/8 18 thread on tranny side,65 or 83 inches long,is speedo 5/8 original on speedo and is muncie m-20 a 7/8 on tranny? thanks for any input,its a 350,

The original cable should fit the connections. Sometimes the length is too short. If so get a replacement that is longer. You will probably need to juggle the gears to get the correct speed/distance.

Its juggle. When you change trans the speedo is generally incorrect. If its not far off you can usually change the driven gear that goes behind the adapter that the cable hooks too. Compare the odometer with the mile markers on the freeway to find out if its off & how much.
