Sometimes the length is too short. If so get a replacement that is longer. You will probably need to juggle the gears to get the correct speed/distance. They say money can't buy happiness. When you change trans the speedo is generally incorrect. If its not far off you can usually change the driven gear that goes behind the adapter that the cable hooks too. Compare the odometer with the mile markers on the freeway to find out if its off & how much. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though.
