| | | | Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 835 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2011 Posts: 835 | Since 1973, despite my best efforts, I have suffered with a driver's side door that wouldn't close right, squeaked when opened, rattled all the time and let in all manor of noise, dust and vermin. (And not to mention occasionally flying open when going around corners).
I am glad to report that after a weekend of tweaking and tapping, much bolting and unbolting of hinges and striker plate, installation of a new latch, gluing (and cursing) of new gaskets, my door opens without a squeek, closes and latches without a bang, and rattles no more.
It just doesn't get much better than this.

Plus, its pretty * embarrassing to be going down the road and have a door fly open when you just hit a small bump in the road.
Not many people want to ride with you.
