does anyone know if the bolt on type front end cross member will work on a 1953 3600 series pickup. they all say halfton but i was wondering if this wouldwork on the 3/4 ton. also how about the rear end kits . thank you . i want to do both and then put in a small block with a 700r4 trans. this would also make it easyto put in a 9 in. rear. i think.

I'm going to say yes. The 3100 and 3600 are virtually the same from the cab on forward. They have the same springs and spring mounts. The difference is when you get to the front axle. The 3600 has larger spindles and king pins. Also, the 3600 will have larger brake lines. So a front end kit for a 1/2 ton and 3/4 should be the same.

A 1/2 ton IFS from 63-87 will work on your 3600. I used a narrowed front end from a '79 on mine.

Daniel, I don't think anything could look more "truck-like" than our leaf spring/bar axle setups.

Leon
