Hi all,

1st post so sorry if this has been covered before. Did a search and came up empty.

The gas tank in my 65 must have a small leak and I need to either seal it or replace it. I'd prefer not getting a Chiwanese gas tank, but is there anyone making them in the good ole USA?

Just replaced the water pump about a month ago and even it was made overseas. Still bothers me having that on there.

Dan

Good luck. Maybe find a good used unit?

I wouldn't mind a used tank if I can find a really clean one. I don't want to go used and end up right where I am. Just thought if good reproductions are available made here, I'd go that route.

If the leak isn't major , you might fix it with the gas tank sealer that several vendors sell .

I may end up doing that, I've had good luck with motorcycle tanks in the past. It is a small leak.

You might try your local radiator repair shop. I've had a number of gas tanks fixed by them.

Now that's an idea I never thought of, I'll check and see if he's game.
