My name is Brian Skay, I am from West Branch Iowa. I resently was able to purchase my neighbor's 1960 chevy apache20 pick-up. I had my eye on this truck for the last 25 years. He bought it brand new June 1960 from my home town West Branch chevy dealer. It was well used on the farm. It has 48,000 original miles on it. It has been parked in the hog barn for the last 20 year or so. I pulled home and got it running it a couple days. I made it driveable, fixed brake lines, clutch master cylinder, fresh fuel ect. I have been having fun with it this fall and winter driving it to town and working around the farm. The four wheel drive works great. My plans are to restore it back to original.

Brian that is a great looking truck! There are not many complete 1960 4x4's running around out there. The 60 was the first year that Chevy did not use the NAPCO 4x4 running gear because Chevy's redesign was not compatible with NAPCO. Are you planning to do an orginal restore or a restore mod? It must have been a sweet first ride after the 25 year wait. Congrats! If you get a chance post pictures of her interior and engine.
