For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 12 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 12 | Hey folks I posted a while ago and wanted opinions on a truck I was looking at; unfortunately, she was sold before I got to it; however, I'm in the process of purchasing a 51 from a gentleman in northern california; I'm not very familiar with these truck (though I will be studying hard) and I wanted to know if you guys have a recommendation of a mechanic near by that's both familiar with the early 50s chevy trucks, and is not looking to pay off his yacht through me!
thank you again and I will post pics of her once she arrives!

Go look at the truck and kick the tires. You will know what the value is to you and if you want the truck. Others recommendations are a dime a dozen.
I hope this helps

One in Covina, one in Long Beach, and the other in Ventura.
I called on them thinking I could leave my 48 in Texas when I move to LA in the fall. You have nice trucks in California.
I wish you the best of luck

I just wanted to know if you guys have a recommendation for a shop in orange county for the future

As already mentioned by Dennis. There are quite a few that show up all the time on Craigslist.
Best of luck with your search. | | |
