After enjoying everyone else's photos for the last two years, I have finally created a small collection of my 48 RK4400 Loadmaster with dump bed.

Nice truck. I love seeing these rigs still in their work clothes.

Man, that to me is the ideal length rig. Nice work on the brakes and seal stuff, too. What is the over all length of the truck bumper to bumper? Again, sweet

I have not measured it myself, but according to my literature it is 161 inch wheel base. It has been the perfect length for my purposes.

801curt, is your box/bed riding on wooden rails? I have a grain box, no hoist. Farmer said he didn't need one back in 49 as the elevator still had the old cable lift for the trucks/wagons? Just wondering because I would like to put a hoist under mine.

Did you replace the front wheel bearings? If so, where did you get them?

Good looking rig, got to love a good truck with a working Hoist. I've used mine a lot, the truck rides so nice with a load on it too.

I agree about riding better with a load. But I must admit the loads I have hauled are not nearly as nice to look at as Yours!
