You need one with the mechanical speedo drive unless you run an electronic speedo. There are also variations in the gear ratios. The best one & most common one is the 1352-145. It came on most mid 80s with both 4 & 6 cyl. engines. 89 up are electric speedo & some 88s also.

You use the same clutch system you had except a different disc.

Some 68 up had a larger hole in the center for SM 465 4 speed trans. & possibly other trans. The car bell houseings are smaller with the small 152 tooth flywheel. I believe all the trucks used 168 tooth flywheels. If a guy is putting in a NV3500 5 speed he will need to set up a hydraulic clutch as the bell houseing is built in to the trans.

The 4.3 6 cylinder bellhousing will work, but not the smaller 2.8. | | |
