Guys

Putting power steering in my 70 1/2ton. What dbl groove water pump pulley can I use? Will a small block long or short pulley work or do I need to find a pulley of another 250?

good question. i thought you always had to get a double pulley off a 250 ot 292. i don't know if a v8 one would work. the power steering bracket and a/c bracket seem to be the most hard to come by items. i've sold several on ebay. good luck and can't wait to see what everyone else says. hr

I got the PS brackets but neverthoght about the pulley. The crank already had a double row pulley. Ok experts chime in. I'm so close to having power!!

here's what I found out from an inline expert. The bolt pattern for the 250 water pump is the same as the sbc's. The depth is almost identical to the long pump pulley, shims may be necessary but not always. The difference is diameter of the 250 is larger than the sbc. So I put a small block long pump pulley and switched out both belts to a shorter length. I'm crusin with power baby!

good to know. i bet the smaller diameter pully shouldn't make much difference in operation of water pump. now you will be able to whip around in parking lots with one hand.
