So I checked the front brakes the other days and replaced the rotors and pads. Still pulsing. COuld it be the rear rotors? Or....? Need some advice. | | |
#81676 08/19/2007 3:00 AM | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Could be the rear, or a possibility that it could be that the hub flanges are warped on the hub assembly. This will cause what they call "stacked runout". Improper torqueing of the lug nuts causes that. If you have access to a runout guage, check the runout of the rotor with the lug nuts lightly tightened up to hold the rotor to the hub. Shouldn't be any more that about .002-.003" runout total. Sometimes reindexing the rotor to the hub can help reduce the runout.
