Hood Emblems - 1953 3600 ?

I have a 1953 3600 that has no hood emblems, and there are no holes or indents or clues as to where to drill the mounting holes. Maybe the holes were filled in, or never there?

Anyway, I have acquired a set of junkyard emblems, and had them refinished ($$$$$). Can anyone tell exactly where they should go? Pix would be great.

Harry, I was looking at some old posts and saw your question about your hood emblem. I have a 53 3100 with the same problem except you can see under the hood where the bolts go. Did you check there? I have the emblem but the mounting brackets are missing and I don't know what they look like since I have never seen one off a truck. Hope you have figured out your problem. Steve 53Movinon

The link below shows the brackets for the emblem. I don't know if any vendors sell them but most carry the entire emblem.
